The many cognitive benefits of learning a language are undeniable! Increased memory, social skills, literacy and numeracy skills, as well as 21st century learner attributes such as international-mindedness and multiculturalism. We would like to offer our young learners an opportunity to immerse themselves in the Mandarin language through our after-school Mandarin Club. This programme is in addition to the timetabled Mandarin specialist lessons and will offer children more contact with the language and more focused, tailored opportunities to build their vocabulary base as well as knowledge of the unique culture. Language skills set children up for success in their future professions while keeping it natural and fun! Just imagine the next time you eat or shop locally, you’ll have a competent little translator right by your side! Students will be taken directly to the classroom by the Teacher/Teaching Assistants at 3pm and parents can collect their children at 4pm at the CCA room where the activity is held.
